Get to Know Our Local Purveyors
From our chicken to our grainsIn 2025 Gourmet Gals Catering embarked on a new mission—to introduce more local businesses and purveyors into our catering offering.
We believe that locally sourced ingredients improve the quality of our dishes and the meaning of what we do–we are a community supported business so it only makes sense that we do our part to support the farming and small purveyor community of businesses around us in Central Texas.
This mission will take time to accomplish, but we’re committed to working with more local purveyors all while maintaining excellent food, service and fair, approachable pricing for event catering. Read on for a bit about the purveyors we’ve partnered with so far.

Barton Springs Mill
Barton Spring Mill operates a stone-ground mill (their machines are incredible- we’ve seen them in operations!) that makes excellent grain. But what we love even more about Barton Springs mill is that they choose to work directly with local farmers in Central Texas who provide their seed stock directly to the growers. The crops they grow then come straight from the combine to the mill. they mill on-demand for us, ensuring the freshest of the fresh flours for your kitchen– ask any baker the grains you use DO matter.
